Prologue...

Born and raised on the west side of Detroit, Kadijah was determined to be on stage from a young age. Theatre has always been a passion of hers but was not always available in her community. To fill the void of theatre until the opportunity presented itself, she immersed herself in dance.

Eventually, Kadijah went to middle school and joined the 8th grade Play Production. It wasn't until her attendence at Cass Technical High School that she began to receive a true theatre experience and education, thanks to Ms. Marilyn McCormick. She went on to continue her theatre studies at SUNY Purchase in the BFA Acting Conservatory where she graduated May 2018.

Since then, Kadijah has been making her name known in Off-Broadway and Regional Theatres. This is only the beginning...

A Raisin in the Sun

Friday, March 13th - Saturday, April 4th 2020

On the South Side of 1950s Chicago, Lena Younger dreams of using her deceased husband’s insurance money to move her family out of their cramped apartment to a better neighborhood. Her son, Walter Lee, Jr., wants to use it instead to set himself up in business; while her daughter, Beneatha, dreams of medical school. In Lorraine Hansberry’s groundbreaking, defiantly hopeful drama, an African American family’s dreams and conflicts are amplified by external tensions and prejudice in a country on the cusp of change.
